Erin M
Hi, my name is Erin. I just turned 13 years old and am
in the 7th grade at Martha Brown Middle School. I have
been dancing for about eight years and have enjoyed
each year very much. My favorite things about Irish
Dancing are the friends I’ve made and dancing for
others. I love going to dance outs and performing for
the audience. It makes me feel good when I can put a
smile on another’s face. I also look forward to class
each week to improve. Kathleen and Amanda are
great teachers and I always have fun in class.

I have an older brother, Matt, who enjoys showing his
Irish heritage too! He plays the guitar and piano and
tries other various instruments including the penny
whistle. I also have two friendly dogs named Lucy and
Peppermint Patty. Patty is eight and Lucy is one. We
named both of them after the characters from Charlie
Brown and the Peanuts by Charles Schwartz, which is
a family favorite.

When I am not dancing I like to play the piano, hang
out with my friends, go shopping, cook, sew and knit
or some other craft. In the summertime I enjoy
working in my garden! In school my favorite subject is
Spanish. It is my first year taking a foreign language
and I absolutely love it! My other favorite class in
school is choir. My school recently had a musical, Bye
Bye Birdie, and I was in the Crew and got to create the
costumes and also worked at the make-up station.

I have so much fun dancing and I always will!
